Amit Shah’s Pre Election Visit to Bengal Focuses on Party Strategy and Worker Meetings

Ahead of the upcoming elections in West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is once again visiting the state. His visit comes at a crucial time when political parties are stepping up their activities and strengthening their organisational base before the polls.

On Saturday, Amit Shah will take part in two major programmes spread across the entire day. The focus of these programmes is to connect directly with party workers, review organisational strength, and give clear direction to leaders at different levels of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The day will begin in North 24 Parganas district. At around 11 am, Amit Shah will attend a meeting with BJP workers from the district at the Anondapuri ground in Barrackpore. This meeting is expected to include grassroots level workers who play an important role during elections. Such interactions are considered vital as they help the central leadership understand ground realities and motivate workers ahead of the polls.

Party sources say that the Barrackpore meeting will focus on election preparation, booth level management, and coordination among workers. Emphasis will also be placed on strengthening communication between district leaders and local workers so that party strategies reach the grassroots level effectively.

After completing the programme in Barrackpore, the Union Home Minister will travel to North Bengal. His second major programme of the day will be held in Siliguri, a key city in the region. The meeting will take place at Gosaipur in Siliguri and is expected to be a large organisational gathering.

This Siliguri meeting will include leaders and workers from five organisational districts of North Bengal. According to party sources, nearly 6,000 BJP workers are likely to attend the meeting. Participants will include booth presidents, shakti kendro presidents, and mandal presidents from Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Darjeeling, Alipurduar, and Cooch Behar districts.

The presence of such a large number of organisational leaders shows the importance of North Bengal in the party’s overall election strategy. North Bengal has often played a key role in state elections, and the BJP is keen to maintain and expand its influence in the region.

Senior party leaders will also be present at the Siliguri meeting. Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar, Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and state BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya are expected to attend. Their presence highlights the importance of coordination between the central leadership and the state unit of the party.

During the meeting, Amit Shah is likely to discuss organisational discipline, booth level planning, and the role of workers in reaching out to voters. He is also expected to give guidance on campaign strategy and message delivery in the coming weeks.

Political observers see this visit as part of the BJP’s broader effort to strengthen its organisation in West Bengal ahead of the elections. Frequent visits by senior central leaders are aimed at energising party workers and sending a strong message of commitment to the state.

With elections approaching, such programmes are expected to continue across different parts of West Bengal. All eyes will now be on the outcome of these meetings and how they influence the party’s strategy and performance in the days to come.
