Central intelligence agencies have issued a serious warning just days before Republic Day, raising concerns over possible terror attacks. Based on this alert, security has been tightened across Delhi and several states in North India. Authorities are taking all precautionary steps to ensure public safety during the national celebrations.

Ahead of Republic Day on January 26, central intelligence agencies have warned about a possible threat of terror attacks in the country. According to intelligence sources, there is a fear that extremist groups may try to carry out violent activities before the national event.

Reports suggest that Bangladeshi extremist organisations, Pakistan backed terrorist groups, and some gangsters linked with Khalistani networks could be involved in planning such attacks. These groups are believed to be working together to disturb peace and create panic during the Republic Day period.

After receiving this input, the Union Home Ministry has decided to strengthen security arrangements. Delhi and several states in North India have been put on high alert. Police and security forces have been instructed to increase checking, surveillance, and patrolling in sensitive areas.

Security around important government buildings, public places, railway stations, airports, and crowded markets has also been tightened. Intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any untoward incident. The government has assured citizens that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure a safe and peaceful Republic Day celebration.
