Bihar leader Nitin Naveen has become the new national president of the BJP without any contest. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the oath ceremony in New Delhi and praised Naveen’s leadership and experience.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has appointed 45 year old Bihar leader Nitin Naveen as its new national president. He was elected without any opposition, making him the youngest person to hold this post in the party’s history. The oath taking ceremony was held in New Delhi on Tuesday and was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at the event, Modi said that although he is the Prime Minister of the country, within the BJP he is only a party worker. He added that in party matters, Nitin Naveen is now his leader. Modi praised Naveen’s calm nature, clear thinking, and strong organisational skills.
Nitin Naveen has been associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party since his student days. Over the years, he has gained experience at every level, from local panchayat work to national politics. As national president, his main responsibilities include preparing future party leaders, coordinating party strategy for upcoming assembly elections, and strengthening ties between the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
He is known as a quiet, disciplined, and controversy free leader. Political experts believe his appointment reflects a generational change in the party and signals the beginning of a new phase in BJP leadership.
