A chilling murder case has come to light in Jhansi, sending fresh shockwaves across Uttar Pradesh. The accused, 62-year-old retired railway employee Ram Singh, was living in a live-in relationship with 32-year-old Priti despite having two wives and children. According to police, frequent arguments over money led to rising tension between the couple. Investigators say Ram Singh killed Priti, cut her body into pieces and attempted to burn them in a stove. He later hid the remains inside a blue plastic drum to erase evidence.
The crime was exposed due to the alertness of an auto-rickshaw driver. When Ram Singh hired the auto while carrying the blue drum, his suspicious behavior raised doubts. The driver informed the police, who intercepted the vehicle and recovered human remains from the drum. By then, the accused had fled.
Police have formed special teams to arrest Ram Singh. His son and second wife are also suspected of involvement. A case has been registered at Sipri Bazar police station, and forensic investigations are underway.
