A car from Akshay Kumar’s convoy met with an accident near Juhu in Mumbai on Monday night. The actor and his wife Twinkle Khanna were not in the damaged car and are completely safe.
A serious road accident involving a car from actor Akshay Kumar’s convoy took place on Monday night near the Juhu area in Mumbai. The incident happened around 9 pm when the convoy was returning home from Mumbai airport. According to initial reports, the front Mercedes car of the convoy collided with an autorickshaw and lost control. The car then overturned on the road, causing panic in the area.
The driver of the Mercedes car and the autorickshaw driver were badly injured in the accident. They were quickly rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Thankfully, there were no reports of any deaths in the incident.
Relief came when it was confirmed that Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle Khanna were not inside the crashed car. The couple was travelling in a different vehicle, an Innova, which was behind the front car in the convoy. Both are completely safe and unharmed.
Mumbai Police said that the accident may have occurred after another vehicle hit the autorickshaw from behind, which then toppled and struck the escort car. Police reached the spot soon after and started rescue work. Videos of the accident have gone viral on social media, showing locals and police helping the injured. An investigation is currently underway.
